Privacy notice

Privacy-minimized technical requests, optional visit analytics and your consent choices on Russian Visa Guide.

Privacy at a glance

Russian Visa Guide is an information website. You can read it without allowing analytics. If you choose Allow analytics in Analytics settings, we use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to selected public information pages. We do not use this integration for advertising or collect passport details, contact-form answers, chat messages or payment details.

What the site handles

Technical requests.

To deliver pages and protect availability, the server handles technical requests. Its access log records the timestamp, request method, path without the query string, protocol, response status and byte count. It excludes client IP addresses, query strings, referrers, cookies and user-agent strings. Archived access logs are removed after the configured fourteen-day archive age. Hosting is on a virtual server in Finland on HOSTKEY B.V.'s network.

Optional visit analytics.

No analytics provider script is loaded before you allow analytics. We send a public page address and title, without query strings or fragments. Pages with either are not measured. Private pages, checker results, chat, checkout and administrative screens are excluded. We send no automatic link-click or form-submission events.

Ahrefs Web Analytics. Ahrefs measures visits and page views without an analytics cookie. Its service processes technical information such as IP address, browser information, browser language and screen size to count visits and derive approximate location. Ahrefs states that raw IP addresses are never stored, and the salt used for its daily identifier is reset every 24 hours. Browser/user-agent information is collected and stored for device and visitor statistics. Our integration does not send referring-page addresses to Ahrefs. Ahrefs controls retention of the resulting analytics under its policies. A fixed report-retention period is not specified in the cited provider documentation; the daily identifier reset is not a claim that all reports are deleted daily. See Ahrefs' collection description and privacy policy.

Google Analytics 4. Google processes page views, browser/device information and approximate geographic information. Analytics cookies identify a browser for measurement; this integration sets their expiry to 30 days without extending it on every page view. We send only a permitted public internal referring page or a recognised search-engine origin, without search terms or other referring-page details. Enhanced Measurement, Google Signals, User-ID and advertising features are disabled for this release. The intended retention setting for user and event data is two months; aggregate reports can be retained longer. See Google's information about Analytics privacy and data retention.

For consolidated reporting, Ahrefs may also import reports from this site's Google Analytics property.

These providers may process data outside Finland under their own policies. Analytics reports describe visits observed after consent and can omit visitors who reject analytics or block collection. They do not count every person who reads the guide.

Your choice.

Analytics settings at the bottom of a measured page offers Allow analytics and Reject analytics. A first-party preference cookie, rvg_analytics, stores your choice and this notice version for 30 days. It contains no name or contact details. A new notice version asks for a new choice.

You can select Reject analytics later to withdraw consent. This stops subsequent collection and removes this integration's Google Analytics cookies from the browser; it does not erase data already received by the providers. Reading and official links continue to work. JavaScript disabled means analytics is off. Your browser's storage controls also let you clear saved preferences and cookies.
