Sources and verification

How Russian Visa Guide labels official sources, check dates, effective dates and unresolved information.

Sources and verification

A source label tells you who published the information; a check date tells you when we last inspected it. Neither is a guarantee that a rule cannot change later.

Full policy

Each high-stakes claim records the publisher, source title, canonical link, check date, review owner and the part of the source that supports it. Effective dates are stored separately when the source establishes them.

Unknown values stay unknown. A missing amount is not zero, a missing exception list is not a universal exemption and an approved checkpoint list is not a transport timetable. Conflicts and stale sources block confident route decisions and affected publication.

Published English pages use scoped official-source records and documented owner-delegated factual review for their stated claims. A page's source and check date do not establish an individual entry decision, activate the checker or approve unpublished country, route or language combinations.

Version and date

Version 1.0 · Effective 8 September 2026.
